1 cup boiled chickpeas (Kabuli Village)
2 tablespoons yogurt (Gives additional protein)
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
½ teaspoon chat masala
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
salt to taste
1 small cucumber (chopped)
1 small tomato (chopped)
1 small onion (chopped)
4 slices multigrain/whole wheat bread
1 teaspoon olive oil or butter

METHOD :
1.Mash the chickpeas – in a mixture bowl, mash the boiled chickpeas with a fork.
2.Add cream – Mix Hung Yogurt/Greek yogurt, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, black pepper, chili flakes and salt.
3.Assemble the sandwich – On a piece of bread, spread the chickpeas evenly. Add cucumber, tomato, onion and lettuce leaves.
4.Toast or grill – place another piece of bread at the top. Brush lightly olive oil or butter and toast on a pan/grill until golden and crisp.
5.Serve hot – Cut it diagonally and serve with mint chutney or light curd dip.
